Wimberley&nbsp;is a village in&nbsp;Hays County,&nbsp;Texas, United States. Wimberley is known for its true Texas culture, as well as its slow pace of life and Conservative politics. Wimberley was settled by Anglo-Texians in the 1800s and Contributed Heavily to the Confederate cause. It is still predominantly a ranching area outside of town.&nbsp;The population was 2,626 at the 2010 census.

Dripping Springs&nbsp;is a&nbsp;city&nbsp;in&nbsp;Hays County,&nbsp;Texas, United States. It is located west of&nbsp;Austin, the state capital. The population was 1,788 at the&nbsp;2010 census,&nbsp;and had risen to an estimated 4,667 as of 2018. Dripping Springs is a primarily rural town.

The city of Bee Cave is served by the Lake Travis Independent School District. Three elementary schools, Bee Cave Elementary School in Bee Cave, Lake Pointe Elementary School in an unincorporated area, and Lakeway Elementary School in Lakeway, serve Bee Cave and sections of Lakeway. Lake Travis Middle School and Bee Cave Middle School serve most of Bee Cave while Hudson Bend Middle School serves portions to the northwest; both schools are in unincorporated areas. Lake Travis High School, in an unincorporated area, serves all of Bee Cave. Lake Travis Middle School served the entirety of Bee Cave until 2019 when Bee Cave Middle School began operations. It is now served both schools. Eanes Independent School District and Westlake High School (Texas) are also in the area but do not serve Bee Cave.
As of the&nbsp;census&nbsp;of 2020, there were 9144 people and 4044 households in the city. The&nbsp;population density&nbsp;was 252.0 people per square mile (97.4/km2). There were 4044 housing units at an average density of 94.5 per square mile (36.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 69.6%&nbsp;White, 2.8%&nbsp;Black, 0.2%&nbsp;Native American, 13.1%&nbsp;Asian, 3.4% from&nbsp;other races, and 10.9% from two or more races.&nbsp;Hispanic&nbsp;or&nbsp;Latino&nbsp;of any race were 12.8% of the population.
There were 207 households, out of which 50.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% were&nbsp;married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.9% were non-families. 9.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.17 and the average family size was 3.38. In the city, the population was spread out, with 33.1% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 108.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.2 males.
In 2015 the median income for a household in the city was $129,270, and the median house value was $597,091. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $59,000 for females. The&nbsp;per capita income&nbsp;for the city was $53,911. None of the families and 2.7% of the population were living below the&nbsp;poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 74.

Bee Cave

Lakeway&nbsp;is a city in&nbsp;Travis County,&nbsp;Texas, United States. The population was 11,391 at the 2010 census; up from 8,002 in 2000. The city is located next to&nbsp;Lake Travis. It is an&nbsp;exurb&nbsp;in&nbsp;Greater Austin.

Lakeway is located at 30&deg;21&prime;55&Prime;N 97&deg;58&prime;34&Prime;W (30.365307, -97.976154), 16 miles (26 km) west of Austin.
According to Lakeway's GIS Analyst, the city has a total area of 13.37&nbsp;square miles (21.51&nbsp;km), of which, 13.07&nbsp;square miles (15.0&nbsp;km2) of it is land and 0.3&nbsp;square miles (0.7&nbsp;km2) of it (4.45%) is water.

The town of Lakeway was founded on the site of a 2,700-acre ranch owned by Houston oilman and rancher Jack (Jake) Josey. In early 1962 three Houston business men associated with the Gulfmont Hotel Company&mdash;G. Flint Sawtelle, John H. Crooker, Jr., and Lee Blocker&mdash;obtained a sixty-day option to purchase the land and plan a hotel and resort community. The name Lakeway was a natural sequel to Gulfmont's Fairway Motor Hotel in McAllen, Texas, so named because it overlooked the fairway of a golf course. Construction of the hotel began in October 1962 and the grand opening was July 12, 1963. Around the same time the Lakeway Land Company was formed with Flint Sawtelle as president, for the development of real estate. In July 1974 a substantial majority of resident and nonresident property owners voted to incorporate with the consent of the city of Austin, and the 1,200-acre village of Lakeway resulted.

Austin is the state capital of Texas, an inland city bordering the Hill Country region. Home to the University of Texas flagship campus, Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating. South of the city, Formula One's Circuit of the Americas raceway has hosted the United States Grand Prix.
Residents of Austin are known as&nbsp;Austinites.&nbsp;They include a diverse mix of government employees, college students, musicians, high-tech workers, digital marketers, and&nbsp;blue-collar workers. The city's official slogan promotes Austin as "The Live Music Capital of the World", a reference to the city's many musicians and live music venues, as well as the long-running&nbsp;PBS&nbsp;TV concert series&nbsp;Austin City Limits.&nbsp;The city also adopted "Silicon Hills" as a nickname in the 1990s due to a rapid influx of technology and development companies. In recent years, some Austinites have adopted the unofficial slogan "Keep Austin Weird",&nbsp;which refers to the desire to protect small, unique, and local businesses from being overrun by large corporations.&nbsp;Since the late 19th century, Austin has also been known as the "City of the Violet Crown", because of the colorful glow of light across the hills just after sunset.
In 1987, Austin originated and remains the site for&nbsp;South by Southwest&nbsp;(stylized as SXSW and colloquially referred to as&nbsp;South By), an annual conglomeration of parallel&nbsp;film,&nbsp;interactive media, and&nbsp;music festivals&nbsp;and&nbsp;conferences that take place in mid-March. Emerging from a strong economic focus on government and education, since the 1990s, Austin has become a center for technology and business. A number of&nbsp;Fortune 500&nbsp;companies have headquarters or regional offices in Austin, including&nbsp;3M,&nbsp;Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Austin

Kyle is a city in Hays County, Texas, United States. Its population was 28,016 in the 2010 census and estimated to be 48,393 in 2019.[6] Kyle is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas The town was established on July 24, 1880, when David E. Moore and Fergus Kyle (for whom the town was named) deeded 200 acres for a townsite to the International-Great Northern Railroad. The new town drew residents and businesses from Mountain City, three miles west, and Blanco, four miles west. Tom Martin operated the first business in Kyle. The community's population exceeded 500 by 1882, but later declined. Kyle was incorporated in 1928 as a general-law city with a mayor and five council members. In 1937, Mary Kyle Hartson, daughter of Fergus Kyle, was elected mayor by a write-in vote. In the early 1940s, Kyle was noted as the only Texas town with an all-woman government. From 1892 to 1901, Kyle was the childhood home of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Katherine Anne Porter. Many of her most famous short stories, such as "Noon Wine", are set in locations in and around Kyle. Her former home is now a writer's residence open to the public by appointment. The Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center hosts readings by visiting writers.

Kyle

The town of Buda sprang up along the route of the International-Great Northern Railroad, which was extended from Austin to San Antonio in 1880. Buda bore the name of "Du Pre" from its birth in 1881 until the autumn of 1887, when postal officials became aware that another Texas town was also named Du Pre.
Cornelia Trimble platted the town of Du Pre on April 1, 1881, establishing streets and a 150-foot (46 m) wide "Reservation" between the lots and the railroad right of way, which allowed the railroad to place buildings on the parkland, including the depot that would become the lifeblood of the town over the next few decades. Several businesses sprang up, including the Carrington Hotel, which served meals to railroad travelers.
By the time Du Pre found a new name for itself, the Carrington hotel was known as the "Buda House". The "Dupre Notes" column of the Sept. 25, 1886, edition of the Hays County Times and Farmer's Journal notes that "The Buda House is one of the best hotels in the state. The polite and entertaining hostess, Mrs. Carrington, meets all with a courteous welcome." According to the town's oral tradition, "Buda" is a corruption of the Spanish word viuda, or "widow", referencing the widows who supposedly worked as cooks at the Carrington Hotel. Others suggest that like the town of Buda, Illinois, the town name is a nod to the exiles of the failed Hungarian Revolution of 1848 who settled in the area. Buda was incorporated in 1948. By the mid-1980s it had attracted a cement plant and some craft industry.

Pflugerville is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States, with a small portion in Williamson County. The population was 46,936 at the 2010 census, and 64,431 in the 2018 Census estimate. Pflugerville is a suburb of Austin and part of the Austin&ndash;Round Rock&ndash;San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the 2010 United States Census Bureau, the city has a total land area of 22.32 square miles. It has 40.39 square miles in the extraterritorial jurisdiction. The city has one body of water, Lake Pflugerville, created in 2005 to serve as a water reservoir and recreation area, and two creeks, Gilleland Creek and Wilbarger Creek. A local school group, Wilbarger Water Watchers, in association with the LCRA, monitors the waters of Wilbarger Creek to ensure it meets the United States Environmental Protection Agency's national standard.

Round Rock is a city near Austin, Texas. It's known for its outdoor activities and historic sites. The Round Rock, a large stone in Brushy Creek, marks the site where wagons made low-water crossings in the 19th century. Nearby, Chisholm Trail Crossing Park has plaques detailing the city’s cattle-driving history. Old Settlers Park includes baseball fields, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and a fish-stocked lake. The city straddles the&nbsp;Balcones Escarpment,&nbsp;a fault line in which the areas roughly east of&nbsp;Interstate 35&nbsp;are flat and characterized by having black, fertile soils of the&nbsp;Blackland Prairie, and the west side of the Escarpment, which consists mostly of hilly,&nbsp;karst-like&nbsp;terrain with little topsoil and higher elevations and which is part of the&nbsp;Texas Hill Country. Located about 20 miles (32&nbsp;km) north of downtown Austin, Round Rock shares a common border with&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;at&nbsp;Texas State Highway 45. In August 2008,&nbsp;Money&nbsp;named Round Rock as the seventh-best American small city in which to live.&nbsp;Round Rock was the only Texas city to make the Top 10. In a CNN article dated July 1, 2009, Round Rock was listed as the second-fastest-growing city in the country, with a population growth of 8.2% in the preceding year. According to the 2008 ratings from the Texas Education Agency, the&nbsp;Round Rock Independent School District&nbsp;ranks among the best in the state. Of 42 schools within it, 12 were rated exemplary and 11 were recognized. Round Rock is perhaps best known as the international headquarters of&nbsp;Dell Technologies, which employs about 16,000 people at its Round Rock facilities.&nbsp;The presence of Dell along with other major employers,&nbsp;an economic development program, major retailers such as&nbsp;IKEA, a&nbsp;Premium Outlet Mall, and the mixed-use&nbsp;La Frontera&nbsp;center, have changed Round Rock from a sleepy&nbsp;bedroom community&nbsp;into its own self-contained "super suburb".

Leander is a city in Williamson and Travis counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 26,521 at the 2010 census, and 49,234 at the 2017 census estimate. A suburb just north of Austin, and part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area, it is the fourth-fastest-growing city in the state of Texas.

Cedar Park is a major suburb of Austin in the state of Texas, the center of Austin is approximately 16 miles to the southeast of Cedar Park. According to the U.S. Census, the city's estimated population as of July 2017 was 75,226

Seguin is a city in and the county seat of Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 25,175.[4] By 2018, the population was estimated to be 29,700.
Seguin, named in honor of Juan Segu&iacute;n, a Tejano Texian freedom fighter and early supporter of the Republic of Texas, is one of the oldest towns in Texas, founded just 16 months after the Texas Revolution began. The frontier settlement was a cradle of the Texas Rangers and home to the celebrated Captain Jack Hays, perhaps the most famous Ranger of all.
Seguin was the home of Dr. John E. Park, who experimented in construction using concrete made from local materials. The nearly 100 structures&mdash;the courthouse, schools, churches, homes, cisterns, walls, etc.&mdash;made up the largest concentration of early 19th-century concrete buildings in the United States. About 20 of them remain standing.
The use of concrete largely ended when the railroad arrived in 1876, bringing cheap lumber and the equipment needed for brick-making. The town had five brickworks, and the wooden buildings of downtown were completely replaced with brick by the beginning of World War I.
For almost 100 years, the town was dependent on the rich surrounding farmland and ranches. Then the&nbsp;Texas oil boom&nbsp;came just as the&nbsp;Great Depression&nbsp;was taking down other towns and cities. Seguin could raise enough tax money to match the federal grants for "make-work" projects. The&nbsp;New Deal&nbsp;transformed the city's public face with&nbsp;Art Deco-style city hall, courthouse, jail, and fountain, as well as storm sewers, sidewalks, and three swimming pools (one for Anglos, one for Blacks, one for Hispanics). The town commemorated its centennial by opening&nbsp;Max Starcke Park, with a golf course, a pavilion, picnic tables, and BBQ pits along a scenic river drive, and a curving dam that created a waterfall.
To preserve some of the historic character of the town, Seguin became one of the state's first&nbsp;Main Street&nbsp;cities, and the downtown district was placed on the&nbsp;National Register of Historic Places. Fine homes by leading architects J. Reily Gordon, Solon McAdoo, Leo M.J. Dielman, Atlee B. Ayers, and Marvin Eickenroht dating from the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century can be found on many streets. However, the city does not have any officially designated historic residential districts.
The postwar era had industrial development, including a minimill that turned scrap metal into construction products. A plant was built by Motorola in 1972 to produce car electronics. It was bought by Continental AG in 2006. A Caterpillar diesel engine assembly plant was opened in 2008.

Seguin

San Marcos is a city and the county seat of Hays County, Texas, United States. The city's limits extend into Caldwell and Guadalupe Counties, as well. San Marcos is within the Austin&ndash;Round Rock&ndash;San Marcos metropolitan area and on the Interstate 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio. Its population was 44,894 at the 2010 census and was an estimated 64,776 in 2019. Founded on the banks of the San Marcos River, the area is thought to be among the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the Americas. San Marcos is home to Texas State University and the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. In 2010, San Marcos was listed in Business Week's fourth annual survey of the "Best Places to Raise your Kids". In 2013 and 2014, the United States Census Bureau named it the fastest-growing city in the United States. In December 2013, it was named number nine on Business Insider's list of the "10 Most Exciting Small Cities In America".
